Welcome, November! We’re glad you’re here. Your arrival means it’s time to sink down into a soft blanket, brew a cup of tea, and enjoy a good book.
This novella by Dawn Crandall is part of the Everstone Chronicles, which I haven’t read. I was able to keep up just fine; enough backstory is provided to make the plot easy to understand. The print copy stands at around 170 pages.
The first few chapters made me roll my eyes a bit. I’m not a fan of insta-love, and I generally prefer characters that have a bit more personality. Nicholette did not appeal to me at all. As the story went on, though, she grew on me.
I really like the time period in which this story takes place. Just look at that beautiful cover! Gowns and gloves like that make me sigh. I’ve never been to Boston, so the descriptions of the homes and city made me want to find out more.
This isn’t a riveting mystery, which I’ve become accustomed to. Sometimes it’s nice to have something more lighthearted on my mind, you know? In that regard, Enchanting Nicholette was a pleasant distraction from the real world.

Thank you for your review. I too love this cover. Makes me think how wonderfully fun it would be to dress like this. LOL Until I get real and know the history of it all. But that is what dreams are for. I cant even imagine becoming a widow on my marriage day. Would love to read this book.
