It’s been raining all day. I don’t mind so much because I am still worn out from my camping trip with those sixth graders. Realizing that I’m not a spring chicken anymore was a hard lesson to learn. Still, it’s not too late to teach this old girl some new tricks. I’d love to learn something new today and am all excited about the Free Class Day at Craftsy! Check out the free class offerings here and see if there’s one that floats your boat.
Today Craftsy is hosting Free Class Day to benefit DonorsChoose. For one day only, new members can choose one free course from a selection of favorite Craftsy classes, up to a $39.99 value! If they meet their goal of giving away 10,000 classes, Craftsy will donate $5,000 to DonorsChoose to fund arts education in public schools across the US. I’ve heard of DonorsChoose but haven’t received anything from them. I think it’s wonderful that teachers in hard-hit economic areas can get supplies that they need to work with children. If you’re an existing member of Craftsy you are unfortunately not eligible for the free course offer, but will still receive a special treat. I’m looking for classes on gardening and preserving food. I’d especially love to see something on canning for beginners. Although that isn’t offered, I’ll keep looking for such classes on Craftsy.
Is there a course that you found you’d like? What would you like to see offered on Craftsy?
What an awesome opportunity. I am so not a crafty person, but maybe this would help me make something cool!
I’d like to take the magical jelly roll quilts class because I’ve been wanting to try a quilt for quite a while now but I don’t know how to make perfectly square fabric by cutting on my own so I’d need to use a jelly roll
I have been looking for something like this for a long time! Very excited to try it out. Thank you for making my quest to craft that much easier!
