Thrifty Thursday: Tell me your best uses for baby wipes

WipesWraps from CleverRelish After posting the Bellies to Babies giveaway event, I started thinking about the various ways we use baby wipes at the Savings in Seconds household.   I use them all the time to remove eye makeup. They are far cheaper than the little towelettes I used to use and they don’t irritate my eyes.   We keep a tub of wipes in the car for wiping hands and faces after playing at the park.  I often use them to clean the dashboard, door handles, and other surfaces while waiting in the car-line after school.   Jill at CleverRelish told me that her big housekeeping secret is using baby wipes on her microfiber couch.  I also found a steal on wipes on Amazon…...Right now these Pampers Softcare Baby Fresh Wipes (12x Box With Tub 864 Count)are only $18.01 shipped with Subscribe and Save!  Plus there is a 50-cent coupon that you can click.  That makes each wipe about 2 cents each.  (Sorry, the price went up. )

I LOOOOOOVE deals like this because I don’t have to travel, don’t pay shipping and sales tax, and don’t have to lug the stuff up my stairs!  If you’ve got a little one in diapers, wipes are something you don’t want to be without.

I’d love to hear your thoughts on ways to use baby wipes for general cleaning purposes!

  1. We use baby wipes for everything… from cleaning the girls shoes, to fingers and toes… it is amazing how they wipe down everything, yet are gentle enough for the most sensitive skin

  2. I use them for so much! I can’t live without them and have them stuck all over the house and the car, lol!

  3. I use them almost daily on our rescue dog, Daisy. We wipe her paws, get the gunk out of her eyes, clean her ears and even wipe her butt! I love when I find a freebie or steal of a deal so I can stock up!

  4. We use baby wipes for everything! I really like using them for my expensive designer handbags, they are gentle enough to clean them without stripping the natural oils.

They are great for cleaning…especially the bathroom and for wiping down your purse or shoes. Great to help disinfect cuts and wounds due to being gentler than some cleaners.
