In the past few years, I’ve signed up for 2 different reading challenges. If I’m going to ignore the laundry and let dust pile up, at least I can feel a sense of accomplishment about it.
The first (and main) one is the Goodreads challenge, in which I have tried to set a goal of reading 100+ books each year. That usually means one book every 3 days, but obviously it’s not always a regular cycle. I tend to read more over weekends, or during summer and holiday breaks. Keeping track of my books on Goodreads helps me to remember favorite authors, genres, and stories.
The second challenge I’ve joined is the Library Love Challenge at Angel’s Guilty Pleasures blog. The public library has always been a place of comfort and love for me. This challenge reminds me to make an effort to support our libraries. This year, I’ve tried to take advantage of ebooks and audiobooks available through the library.
Angel has a $50 giveaway for those who participate in the challenge, so be sure to sign up if you’re interested!

I hope you’ll challenge yourself to read on a regular basis! It’s a great way to relax, and can be a fun way to meet new friends.
I may have to try this challenge next year if she decides to host it again. Sometimes it is nice to have a little push to read some of those books on the old TBR. Good luck! 🙂
