Disclosure: I received a book for review. Opinions shared are mine.
Hello, meet A More Beautiful Life. This book landed on me in the middle of an incredibly crazy season — the end of the school year. Author Whitney English makes it so very clear that life doesn’t have to be perfect to be beautiful. That’s a wonderful takeaway, and one I needed to hear right at this moment!
This is more than a book — it’s a life approach. Discovering and acknowledging priorities might sound like common sense, but when you’re running on the hamster wheel those priorities can be dizzying. Can you relate? What I liked most is that anyone can really benefit from the ideas presented in A More Beautiful Life. If you have a zillion kids (like I do, when you count students), no kids, fur babies, or whatever — you can find something useful in these pages.
I had to laugh a little at some of the more pointed comments and directives English describes in this book. Her descriptions of self-sabotage were pretty much out of my own Book of Life. Procrastination and tardiness are my hyphenated middle name.
So if you’re super busy, overwhelmed, overworked, or all of the above — take HEART. English has a bunch of ideas that can bring some spirit back to your world. She allows us permission not to be a triathlete (whew) while encouraging a healthy mind and healthy emotions through ways that serve us.
Give it a try!
