I was lucky to snag this copy of A Single Light from my local library; there were lots of people on the wait list. Right around the time I checked it out, I had to go out of town for work. I thought the book got lost in my car, but after days of searching for it, I couldn’t find it. In a panic, I called the library yesterday to see how much of a fine I’d accrued. She said it was 20-cents per day, and I was up to about $1.20. Luckily I found the book stashed on a shelf that evening. I figured….it’s worth the fine. So sorry to the person who has it on hold after me, but I just had to read it before turning it in!

I loved this sequel to The Line Between (which was one of my 2019 favorites). Wynter Roth is a force to be reckoned with, and 6 months in the silo only strengthened her resolve to save the people she loves.

There were several moments in A Single Light that rendered me breathless. I just couldn’t imagine fighting through the struggles Wynter faced moment after moment.

This series has me thinking hard about the medications my family takes. I’ve never been organized enough to be a prepper, but the What Ifs have me considering a plan. I should definitely try to stockpile some medicine, food, and water for an emergency. Normally I skip the New Year’s resolutions, but this just might be the year for it.

This is a must-read for those who love dystopian and post-apocalyptic novels!
