My sincere apologies to the author and tour hosts for my LATE post!

I have been teased for most of my life because of my height. In fact, just the other day, two adults stopped me in the hallway at work, thinking I was a middle school student out of class. To be fair, it was a “jeans day” so I was wearing casual clothes. My friends have often commented about the way my feet dangle when I sit on a couch, or that I can’t reach the coffee mugs on the top cabinet shelf. It’s just life! Kids of all ages can understand the feeling of being teased about one’s size.

The book “Being Small (Isn’t So Bad After All)” sends out a very positive point about focusing on the positive side of things. Wise Mom encourages her small daughter to look at the things she can do, or the benefits of being small. The rhyme is bouncy and playful, and I love that the illustrations hint about the text so kids can make predictions. It’s a sweet story with a big message.
