Adagio Teas is my favorite source of tea leaves. Their flavors and options are unsurpassed! When Adagio reached out to let me try their Bella Luna Blue tea — a limited time offering — I immediately thought of my daughter. She is a science fanatic AND a tea lover, so this was right up her alley.
We used our Adagio ingenuiTEA teapot to steep the tea. It’s the most convenient way we’ve found to use loose leaf tea.
As you can see, the Bella Luna tea is a magical blue. It’s so pretty! Perfect for those who enjoy having a little unique spark to their day. The flavor is gentle yet bright, thanks to the lemongrass. You can add a bit of lemon juice to amplify that blue shade, turning it almost violet.
We’ve been enjoying iced tea instead of hot tea since the temperatures are in the 90’s this month. I am anxious to give the Blue Luna a try as a sun tea, too!
Compared to other blueberry tea blends I’ve tried, this tea has a mild flavor profile. Butterfly Pea Flower, which is included in this blend, was new to me. I couldn’t really pick it out, though, so I’m guessing that it has a mellow flavor. The lemon zing stood out. For me, the real prize in this tea is its novelty. Set out some Bella Luna Blue for your houseguests next time you entertain, and enjoy the oohs and aahs. It would make such a fun gift for any tea lover, or for someone who likes to have something a bit out of the ordinary!
