Remember when I told you my Valentine’s Day plan? How we were going to have our Valentine’s Day meal at a great restaurant except not on February 14? Well, that day came to fruition and what a wonderful fruition it was. So that we could share the lovely meal with you, we went to Bonefish Grill for the Sunday brunch and sampled some of the delicious meals they offer.
The dining room has such a romantic ambience from the warm woods, soft lighting, and white cloth napkins. We walked in as the restaurant opened and I was impressed by the hospitality of the staff. They quickly attended to our orders and provided us with warm, crusty bread and dipping pesto oil. The bar area was gorgeous, too, so if you didn’t get a seat in the main dining room, consider the bar area for your meal. Bonefish Grill is the place to be for Valentine’s Day. For $29.99 per person, you can get the Valentine’s Day menu which includes salad, filet mignon and lobster, plus dessert to share. I think this is a great deal considering (a) how much is offered, (b) the quality of the food, and (c) I wouldn’t have to cook or clean any of it!!
We were there for the brunch and it was ever so difficult to choose just one entree. Everything sounded so good!! Each time a server walked out with someone else’s meal, we all just drooled and chattered about how good that dish looked. I decided to try a little bit of the Valentine’s Day menu by ordering the Lobster & Eggs Benedict with filet mignon.
I love Eggs Benedict and never make it for myself so it’s always a treat to find it on the menu, but with the lobster and filet this dish was almost sinfully rich. The filet was cooked medium rare (just a tad bit too red for me) and was so delicate; the lobster was roll-my-eyes good. I can see why the Valentine’s Day menu is so popular.
My sister ordered the crab cakes (which was also on my list of choices). She let me take a taste and I nearly resented my meal. The crabcakes had the perfect amount of crunch that crabcakes should have and were full of delicious flavor. I rarely order crabcakes at restaurants because they can be so disappointing. This is a meal I’d definitely choose in the future!
The Creme Brulee french toast was probably the most popular dish at our table. My poor brother-in-law ended up sharing his meal with everyone. The orange flavor on the french toast was heavenly. This photo doesn’t do the meal justice!
The other meals we sampled that morning were the fish & chips, and the Kobe burger, chicken tenders, and popcorn shrimp kids’ meals. I especially liked the shrimp which was panko breaded instead of batter dipped. Yum!
Bottom line — I would love for my Valentine to take me to Bonefish Grill for a date night. Since he hates going anywhere on nights it might be crowded, it’s a good thing that Bonefish Grill offers the Valentine’s Day menu for several days that week!! What are you waiting for? Find your nearest Bonefish Grill and make your Valentine’s Day reservations! Don’t forget to enter to win a $25 voucher for Bonefish Grill, too.
That sounds pretty good even though I’m not a seafood fan. A new Bonefish opened near me recently as well.
There were plenty of options for those who don’t like seafood!! You should check it out. The desserts sounded amazing, too.
Dinner for two on Valentine’s for $30, that’s amazing! I wonder if they will take reservations?
That’s a GREAT deal! Looks so delicious, too… yum!
Sounds amazing. I think we have a Bonefish Grill here in the Baton Rouge area and I should really go. The menu sounds so yummy. We love seafood.
That all sounds delicious! I’m not sure we have a Bonefish around us… I will definitely have to take a look. This sounds like something hubby would love and would be great for Valentine’s Day!
Thant looks so delicious. I wish there was one of those near me!
Love that place! We live right next to one and go there all the time. Love the Bang Bang Shrimp 🙂
That’s on my list to try next time.
Yummy. Sounds like a fabulous meal out.
Sounds like a great idea for date night – esp Valentine’s Day 🙂
I have never eaten at Bonefish before… But the food looks yummy, this would be a great place to go for valentines day!
We love Bonefish Grill! We eat there all the time!
The memories I got from this – I used to go to Bonefish grill with my parents
Looks like a great place to eat. I love seafood!
I love Bonefish Grill. We don’t have any here in Vermont but when I visit DC, it’s usually on my list of places to eat at.
Wow, every one of the brunch entrees captured my eye. I think I would love to try the creme brulee French Toast. No wonder you BIL had to share!
A KID’S meal Kobe burger? Count me in! Those crabcakes look delicious too! Thanks for showing me how delicious Bonefish Grill could be.
Hmmm…..I’m not sure that her burger was a kid’s meal burger. The shrimp and chicken tenders were, though!
This is a fabulous deal! I wish I had a Bonefish closer, I miss eating there!
Haven’t been there before; the food looks tasty
Great deal and yummy! It’s nice to have special treats, and I hope he took you out again this year. We don’t go out on Valentine’s Day either but typically go out before hand. This year our grocery store was offering a special Valentine’s take out…prime rib and lobster tail with salad and cheesecake. A special treat for us!
I love seafood, but I’m on a very limited budget and don’t eat out very often.
Everything pictured looks absolutely delicious! I will have to take my mother there for her birthday.
I’ve read good things about Bonefish, but I’ve never been there. I do like seafood.
