Every morning, my mother-in-law Cheryl sends a text to her children, daughters-in-law, and grandchildren. The message always contains an inspirational verse or message, and it’s often directly related to something going on in the recipient’s life. It’s a thoughtful, caring gesture that makes me love her even more.
When I received a copy of Called to Inspire, it reminded me of Cheryl. Even the beautiful floral cover seems like something she’d pick out.

Each day’s message is presented as a question, therefore instantly provoking your heart to respond. Written directly to the reader, it comes across almost like a conversation. It makes me think of a Sunday School lesson or a communion reading.
The daily devotion shares space with a corresponding journal area. A very brief prayer is suggested, as well as an easy-to-memorize Bible verse. My favorite part, though, is the declaration. This tiny space is titled “Today I Declare” and it contains a strong reminder to carry in your heart for the day.
