To all of the graduates out there — congratulations!
Graduation is a milestone like no other. You’ve worked so hard for the completion of your coursework, and now it’s time to celebrate. Don’t worry if you feel a bit swallowed up in the whole thing, though. It’s a day filled with excitement, relief, and trepidation. We have two nieces and several friends’ children who graduated this spring. It’s such a blessing to see these young people grow up to become amazing people!
My high school graduation happened to be on my 18th birthday, and I remember feeling completely overwhelmed by the next steps that loomed ahead. It felt like that day was the official “You’re An Adult Now” moment and I wasn’t sure if I was ready. College graduation was similarly bittersweet. The wonderful memories and comfort of my college life clashed with the uncertainty of the future. Seeking God’s will was taking on a whole new meaning because it meant such big decisions.
Listening to words of wisdom from family, mentors, and older friends proved to be a big help for me. It was also a time when I listened for God’s voice through prayer and Bible study.
At that tough time of life, I loved books like God’s Promises for Graduates because it was easy to look up a verse specific to my situation. If you’ve got a graduate in your life, this is a perfect gift (enclose a little cash while you’re at it!)

Small enough to tuck into a purse or backpack, this resource has a soft leather-like cover and silver gilded pages. There’s also a tasseled bookmark and a sweet dedication page in the front.

The categories included in this book will pertain to anyone who’s on a new life path. Confidence, Encouragement, Guidance, and Wisdom are just a few of the topics. Reading these verses feels almost like getting a hug from God. Although it’s geared for graduates, the message applies to any season of life. The Bible is timeless!
I never made much about my own graduations, but it’s great when families come together!
