Back to school time always means shopping for our family. Since both my husband and I are in education, and we have two children who also head back to the classroom, it’s a busy time for us. It seems that by the time I get the school supplies, new sneakers, and some outfits for the kids, there isn’t time to shop for myself. Since I’m on my feet all day working with my students, my closet is filled with career casual clothing. I tend to wear khakis at least three times a week because it’s just convenient to pair those with a school-logo polo. It’s nice to have dressier tops to wear on certain days, though it’s difficult to find tees that aren’t the basic plain crewneck. Another issue I struggle with is finding clothes that ‘fit” my age. I’m not sure what that even means. While I’m still drawn to the clothing in the trendy stores where 20-year-olds shop, those styles aren’t really appropriate for any almost-40 year old woman. Teaching 6th graders keeps me young and I don’t want to wear dowdy clothes that my grandmother would prefer, either. Now that I’ve found Before + Again, I’m on the right path for perfect fashion sense.
When I received the box from Before+Again, I was immediately impressed by the packaging. The shirts were wrapped in tissue paper. It just seemed like I was receiving a gift which, let’s face it, is always going to make a Fashionista smile. My initial impression of the tops was adoration. The colors were vibrant yet the wash of the fabric made the prints seem muted. They didn’t scream “New Shirt Alert!” and I liked that. The first top I tried on had a comfortable three-quarter sleeve. It’s perfect for fall and spring. It’s also thin enough that it can be layered under a cardigan. I love, love, love the bright colors on this one and that the patterns are more concentrated on the sleeves. I tried to get a picture of that for you. I stink at getting selfie shots, so apologies. I did want you to see that the main body of the shirt is cream colored while the sleeves are very colorful. Cool, right?
The blue top was short sleeve with a nice v-neck collar. I liked that this top was a bit longer in the torso. It pairs well with my school pants; I don’t have to worry about showing my back if I bend over to pick up a stray pencil. I wore both tops last week to school and received many compliments. I loved how comfortable the shirts were. These will be favorites, I can tell! I sized up on these shirts and am glad about that. They run a bit small and if I’d ordered my normal size, they would have been snug. I prefer tops to be form-fitting but not tight. These are absolutely perfect for me.
Since that box arrived, I’ve been poring over the Before+Again website. I especially love the dresses. They look so breezy and comfortable! I’m excited to share this brand with you. Be sure to follow Before+Again on Facebook and on Twitter to stay in-the-know about sales and promotions.
What kind of shirts do you look for? Do you like the colors of these Before+Again tops?
I always love a good shopping site that I have never heard of. Cute clothes, i especially like the customization.
I love their tunics! They have really nice prints.

Wow – that is a really cute outfit! I’ll have to check them out online. Thanks for sharing.
The print is really cute!
So very pretty! WOW. I’m more for a black shirt type of gal but the colors sure pop! Great review!
These are both cute shirts! I really like the blue swirled one.
I’ve already clicked on the site. My daughter and I both have trouble with age right shirts that are dressy but still that comfortable feel. You want to be able to look nice without screaming I dressed up. The shirts look good on you. Have fun shopping!
I look for solid colored tees that are both comfortable and cool. I like the cream colored shirt the best.
You look really cute. I rarely go for printed tops, but I am open to the idea.
These look great! I love soft, vintage material tees. I like solids more than prints usually too.
I am all about comfort when it comes to tees. I love the fun blue print!
For me, a tee has to be comfortable and then stylish. If it’s stylish but uncomfortable I won’t wear it. These look like they’re both of those things. So, ding, ding, ding…. winner. You look adorable in that print, by the way.
That shirt does look good on you! I love the bright, cheerful colors and how it looks dressier than a t, but is still comfortable.
That shirt is great and really flattering. I love the colors. Thanks for sharing
Love them. Look totally comfortable and forgiving.
I lean more toward business-casual tops, as I grew up only having comfy and casual clothes. As I get older, I like to look as clean cut and professional as I can–after all, you never know you will run into!
I love comfortable tees too! These are very pretty too!
Who doesn’t love a comfortable tee. I really like the blue one too!
The blue swirl looks fabulous, I love a t-shirt especially on that looks nice.
They do have a really comfortable look, and I especially love the long-sleeved one. You look terrific!
I’m digging that blue top! Especially with it layered like that, very cute!
I like the first top so much! You need a tripod girl.
I’m a big fan of bright colors too and I like the nice contrast of the rich hues on the white- comfort is also a big plus too!
I love neutrals – especially linen or soft fabrics.
Those are really pretty and unique. Love the colors they are so bright and vibrant!
I think these are such nice tops and colors styles. I’d wear them as I dash around town. It’s good to be stylish and comfortable.
These are cute! I like shirts that are cotton, comfy and long.
The tops are cute. I love wearing v neck short sleeve shirts all year round. The blue swirled one looks really good on you.
All about comfort on the weekdays. Weekends I like to dress up. Great post!
I love these shirts… look amazing on you and I love the colors… Great post and I soo have to check them out…
These shirts are really cute. I love the colors.
That sure looks like a comfy tee. Very nice design too. 🙂
