When asked about my favorite restaurants in Disney World, I usually talk about Be Our Guest. This lovely locale is inside the Beast’s Castle in Magic Kingdom. All three meals are available there, but it’s difficult to get in without an advance reservation. Be Our Guest accepts the Disney Dining Plan (which we always get); breakfast and lunch use quick service credits while dinner uses table service credits. Of the three, dinner is our favorite.
This beautiful restaurant has so many amazing features. Be prepared to take lots of photos! You’ll find yourself gazing along the walls, at the ceiling, and even the windows where snow magically falls. As with many other Disney restaurants, part of the adventure is experiencing the restaurant’s personality. Be Our Guest has a joie de vivre atmosphere, from the initial walk across the bridge to the final photo with The Beast. It’s an experience not to be missed when you’re at Disney World!
There are three dining areas at Be Our Guest. You’ll be seated in one of the rooms, but you’re free to roam around and check out the decor in the other areas. I highly encourage that you do that! Each room has its own ambience. Of the times we’ve dine there, my favorite seat was the one right under this enchanting couple. Belle and the Beast dance slowly (in a rotation) much like a music box ballerina. It’s sweet as can be.
It’s so bright, cheerful, and romantic. I just love it! Of course, there’s also a dark charm in the brooding Beast’s room. In it, the art is torn with clawed scratches and the lighting is dimmed. You can also find the magically enhanced rose here.
My favorite meal at Be Our Guest is the shrimp and scallop entree. This used to come in a puffed pastry, but now it is served with pasta in a lobster sauce. It’s delicious and such a rich, tasty dish. The rest of my family orders the steak dinner. My daughter always gets a side of the potato leek soup.
After the wonderful meal, a dessert cart arrives with such mouthwatering selections you’ll find it hard to choose one! We’ve sampled most of these, but my favorite is the iconic Grey Stuff. It’s delicious. Don’t believe me? Ask the dishes! Actually, I usually choose this because, for me, it’s part of eating at Be Our Guest.
Each dessert is meticulously plated to have the prettiest appearance. I love the edible decorations and garnishes. This is what makes Disney so magical!
I feel so blessed that we were able to visit Disney World several times in the past few years. Now that my kids are getting older and we’ve been taking trips to other places, I look back on our WDW trips with such fondness….and those memories definitely make me crave these tasty treats!
