Disclosure: I received a free copy of this book for review. Opinions shared are mine.
If you’ve ever witnessed a tight-knit family go through a major event, you were probably amazed at the shared strength they possess through each other. In Divine Disruption, readers get a glimpse of the holy power that fuels that strength.
While reading Divine Disruptions, it struck me how each family member was totally in tune with the rest of the family’s reactions to seriously upsetting situations. I did not realize the family ties between the authors, so that was eye opening as well. Much of Part 1 is about individual perceptions and awareness. I was very impressed by their collective empathy for each other.
What I liked most was the second half of the book, which was more inspirational and devotional in nature. While the authors still shared personal stories, it was in a general scope to relate to personal issue such as major loss, as well as world topics including the Covid pandemic. The authors are tremendously encouraging and uplifting. I think I’d enjoy this more as a video series or documentary as much as the book version. Divine Disruption would make a lovely gift for a church library.
