As I’ve mentioned before, it’s tough to find a book that everyone in my family wants to read. We connect over a few strong stories, such as Harry Potter, but I’m eager to deepen that bond over something more meaningful. The Faith Forward Family Devotional is a good place to start!

There are many things to love about this devotional. It’s small enough to tuck into a purse or backpack, and it’s not bulky at all. There’s a satin bookmark attached to the spine so you can easily mark your place.

Each day has a simple, easy to remember topic that relates to typical life. The Bible story and verses complement the message, and thought-provoking questions open a door for conversations. A brief prayer is listed at the end, but you can always make that your own by adding specific requests and praises that pertain to your family.

The Faith Forward devotional is lovely and perfectly giftable. The cover is very feminine, which is the only drawback I see. It might not appeal to readers who aren’t keen on floral motifs. If you think your family members might snub such a feminine cover, you can always use a simple book cover or even a fabric scrap to take away from the flowers.

When it’s all said and done, what will you look back upon as the biggest blessing of your life? For me, it will be the comforting knowledge that my children chose Jesus as their Savior. Sharing heaven with my husband and kids will be a blessing for all eternity!
