I’ve been picking away at this audiobook for a couple of weeks now. The cheapo wireless earbuds I bought on Instagram have come in handy; I could listen while cooking supper or folding laundry. Other than that, I really don’t get much listening time in, since my commute is now down to a few minutes instead of an hour+ every day.
At around a third of the way through it, I had to make a decision about whether I would finish listening or not. That’s usually not a good sign — and I should have read the writing on the wall. I found Goodnight Beautiful to be fairly underwhelming. There was one good twist in the story, but once we got through that hurdle, it was all downhill. I feel like the 3 stars I gave were generous.
The audiobook narration was decent, but not really great either. I had a few credits to burn this month, so I bought myself an Agatha Christie narrated by Dan Stevens. I’m considering it an early Christmas present to myself.
