I love it when my husband decides to fire up the grill. He makes all kinds of good food on the grill, from fish to cheesesteaks! One of my favorite grilled items is pineapple drizzled with honey, but it’s hard to grill it without using skewers. I was so excited when Sumpri sent me this grill basket. We don’t get the chance to use our grill often during fall — especially when it’s raining, like it is this week — but it will be put to good use in the spring.
When we go camping, we like to use the grill or campfire for every meal. Sometimes it’s nice to visit a restaurant if we’re on an out-of-town trip, but we really prefer to stay at the campground. Here are some of our favorite grilled meals.
Breakfast
Grilled salmon paired with scrambled eggs is our favorite camping breakfast. The hubs prepares a maple flavored glaze and drizzles it over the salmon. Sometimes we add a side of steamed white rice. It sounds like it would be better suited for supper, but it’s such a delicious way to start the day!
Lunch
We usually have a simple lunch of chicken quesadillas. We bring a container of chopped rotisserie chicken to steamline this quick meal. If you set out the extras on the table, everyone can assemble the quesadillas with toppings they like. I use diced onions, peppers, and cheese on mine. Don’t forget the sour cream!
Supper
My crew loves it when Dad grills cheesesteaks. If you don’t have a grill basket, you can use aluminum foil. We also use copper grill mats to cut down on wasting foil.
This portable basket looks like the perfect way for me to grill veggies that sometimes would normally fall through the grill.
