Now, the cover looks a little bit cheesy but don’t be fooled. The Christiansens are a pretty tough family and they play hard. I received a copy of It Had To Be You to review and was a little surprised at how meaty the book was. Were all those pages necessary to explain what was clearly a love story? Yeah. Because the book really focuses on Eden Christiansen and her growing-up story. Eden is the big sister who thought she couldn’t. Everyone else seems to depend on her, but she can’t see her own potential. She totally has a servant’s heart, making sure that her little brother is okay after a hockey injury while taking it upon herself to find out the identity of the John Doe who shares her brother’s hospital room. Then there’s Jace, the steamy hot team captain who (of course) has a bad-boy persona with teddy bear insides. The side stories that weave the scaffolding for It Had To Be You really hold up this book. I was surprised at the ending(s) because the whole thing played out completely differently in my mind. I’m interested to learn more about this series and hope to see more about little Maddy, one of the side characters.

The title a cover look like a fluff story type so I’m glad to know this has substance. Sounds like it has a good character development and back story. An interesting read.
I agree, the cover is a little bit cheesy!
