Yeah, I know those two things don’t go together. It’s okay, though. Both of them made me happy today.
I was given No7 The Full 360 mascara to try, and it is my new favorite! This was my first time trying makeup from the No7 brand. This mascara has a curved wand that gently pulls my lashes upward. It made my eyes look wider and more awake. They sent me the waterproof variety, and it stayed on all day without smudging or wearing off. Though it definitely lengthened my lashes, I don’t think it added volume. Next time I purchase it, I will look for a black shade (I was given brownish black, and didn’t like it as much as regular black.) This would make a great stocking stuffer!
While the pandemic has been a challenge in many ways, one thing that I’ve discovered is that I’m quite content to spend endless quiet days at home with my family. One of my childhood friends recently started reaching out — we haven’t caught up with each other in years — and it’s been such a blessing. She sends me a card or small gift every few weeks. I used to do a great job of sending mail to friends, but in recent years I’ve really lapsed. I’m glad that I finally unpacked a box of small note cards that I can use to reciprocate the happy mail.
It’s the small things that matter in life, and these are two small things that made me happy. What brought you joy this week?
I need to find a new mascara, and this one looks great!
