Welcome to the October New Release Hop! This giveaway highlights books that are new releases in October. I’m thrilled to share a great historical fiction story with you in this giveaway. I reviewed it a few days ago and the story still lingers in my heart. Return to Me by Lynn Austin begins in biblical times, just after the fall of Jerusalem during the Babylonian Captivity. The story continues through the return of the Israelites to Jerusalem. Its characters include many of the Old Testament prophets including Daniel and Zechariah. I found this book to be both inspiring and heartbreaking. It was such an eye-opener to me. As I read, I pondered the hardships faced by those early people who were trying to serve their God. Would I make the same sacrifices? I pray that I would have the strength. The inspirational side of the book comes purely as a bonus. The novel is so rich with history and beautiful imagery that you can’t help but enjoy it.
