How to find Matilda Jane Clothing at discount prices

Disclosure: This post contains my referral links. Opinions shared are mine.

I’ve been a Jane since my daughter was a toddler.  In those early 2006 days, the brand was virtually unknown.  I happened to learn about it because I was on a Mini Boden forum where some of the other members sold MJC.   The outfits were so unique, adorable, and always made me smile.

I loved seeing my little girl in these outfits!  Even now, looking back at these photos makes me so glad I splurged on cute clothes for her.  There were a few items for boys, too, and I bought every piece for my baby boy.

Now that my kids are growing up, they won’t let me choose their clothing anymore.  Luckily, Matilda Jane has clothes for women, too!  The fabrics are so soft, funky, and stylish.  You might have heard that the illustrious Joanna Gaines now has a Matilda Jane partnership.  Honestly, I can’t think of a better collaboration!

Love the look but looking for lower prices?  Learn my secrets to finding discounted Matilda Jane Clothing.  [Read more…]

Some cats run at the sound of commotion, but our Blooper knows how to work a room.  He wanders from guest to guest, trying to look cute so someone will pet him.  If you try to ignore him, he’ll sit on your feet and purr, or just jump on your lap.  When I set out The Southern Living Party Cookbook, he insisted on being part of the action.

Jeopardy is one of my favorite game shows!  It’s fun to learn obscure trivia, and every once in a while I can even get a question right.  I’m often surprised at the Bible categories, which are typically based on very basic stories yet many people miss those questions.  If you want to beef up on your Bible trivia, check out 30 Days to Understanding the Bible.

Today was the first day back to work after a lovely two-week break.  It was hard to go back, but so good to see my sweet work friends.   Of course, we spent several minutes catching up on the books we each read over break!  I mentioned The Silent Patient by Alex Michaelides and the ladies got excited; they’d heard that it was going to be THE thriller of 2019.  I promised to finish it quickly so they could read it next!  Tonight, as soon as I put on my pajama pants and cooked supper for the family, it was time to read.

Chosen People by Robert Whitlow @BookLookBlogger

Disclosure: I received a free copy of this book from the publisher.  Opinions shared are mine.

My husband is a documentary addict.  He watches History and Discovery all the time, and he especially loves learning about Biblical history.  He prefers non-fiction books, which is a shame, because I think he would have enjoyed Chosen People by Robert Whitlow more than I did.

We had a 2 week Christmas break this year.  Staying home for 2 glorious weeks with almost nothing to do….it was heaven.  My house is a mess (2 kids, remember?) but my heart is happy.  I’ve been reading, watching TV, and just remembering what it’s like to be lazy.  My family has eaten home-cooked meals nearly every night because we don’t feel like going out to eat.  GrubHub doesn’t deliver to us out here in the country.  Thankfully, the grocery store DOES deliver!  Now, I have this new cookbook by Martina McBride that’s been the inspiration for next week’s grocery list.   [Read more…]

You probably think I’m going to turn into a permanent fixture on the couch, with all these books I’ve been reading over Christmas break!  The truth is that I’ve immensely enjoyed this quiet time.  I’ve tried to burn through some of my ebooks since those are usually passed up in favor of the print copies on my shelf.  Today, I was absolutely spellbound by For Better And Worse by Margot Hunt.
