Ripley’s Believe It or Not Time Warp

Disclosure: I received a free copy of this book. Opinions shared are mine.

Here’s a fun experiment for you: Ask a teenager about a Rolodex, if they know how to use a “party line”, or what “Be Kind, Rewind” means.  Their answers will be hilarious!  After teaching 6th grade for 2 decades, I’ve finally come to accept that I’m older than I realize.  My students refer to things like my childhood as “the olden days.”  That’s why I got such a kick out of Ripley’s Time Warp.  This book contains so many cool correlations between different events in history!

Compared to many households, we’re an odd family when it comes to the TV.  You see, we have one main screen that is located in the family room.  There’s another TV in the master bedroom, but it rarely gets used.  We usually enjoy TV together as a family, and we have some fairly high standards for what our kids can watch.  NCircle Entertainment offers quality content that provides educational and creative opportunities.  Their videos are affordable and plentiful.   I’m so excited to share their DVDs with you as part of our holiday gift guide.  These need to be at your house for the winter break!

Tilbury Holiday picture book @tilburyhouse

Disclosure: I will receive copies of these books for posting. Opinions shared are mine.

When my children were small, we rotated the picture books every month or so.  We kept baskets of books in the living room and dining room so that the kids always had something to read.  Baskets were easier for little hands to manage; pulling a book from a bookshelf usually resulted in a bookalanche.

If your kids need new reading material, don’t miss these cute titles from Tilbury House
