For several years I’ve been using my trusty Blackberry. At the time, it was glorious to be able to check my email and surf the web. Like any other technology, though, it soon became obsolete. It was difficult to update the apps. Many of the apps I wanted to use were not available. I’ve gone through three batteries and it still wouldn’t stay charged. This month, my husband finally convinced me to get an iPhone. I was very excited about the new phone because we already have so many apps linked on my iTunes account, so it was a breeze to just upload them on my phone. It’s nothing fancy (just the 8 GB) but it’s a huge upgrade for me. After getting my phone set up, the first thing on my to-do list was check Zazzle for a new iPhone cover!
Phone cases and covers are fun because they are such a symbol of one’s personality. This would be the perfect way to surprise someone for the holidays! At first, the monogrammed cases appealed to me. Then somehow I stumbled upon this adorable bird and knew it was the one. Matthew 10:29-31 is one of my favorite sections of scripture; it’s always been a gentle reminder that God has his eye on even the sparrows and even on me. I clicked submit and couldn’t wait to see what my case would look like! I ordered the case on Saturday 11/8/14 and received it on Tuesday 11/11. I was seriously impressed by the lightning-fast shipping. The case is a gorgeous shade of blue with a brushed textured look.
Since my phone is pink, it looks really cute with the contrast of the blue. It also coordinates with the sparrow’s pattern. The case slipped right on and snapped in the corners without a hitch. There is just enough overlap on the front to protect the phone (as you can see from the first picture.) I love that the case doesn’t add a lot of bulk to the phone. Today during lunch with coworkers, everyone compared phones. Many of the people who had bigger cases complained that the phone was too big to hold or keep in their pockets. Mine is still slim and sleek. I love it!
The only thing I wish I’d purchased is a protective cover for the front. My friends told me that I need a screen protector to keep my screen free from scratches. That’s definitely something I should have considered but just didn’t know about at the time. The Zazzle cover is perfect for my needs and I’d definitely purchase another one!
Which phone case would make a perfect gift?
There are so many fun cases out there. You can do a simple color or go for a photo, image, or saying. I’d love to get my daughter-in-law an inspirational marathon saying. My son would want one with the Cessna symbol. I would go with a custom photo of the grandkids. Luckily, there are lots of options. The hardest part is choosing.
I absolutely am in love with the birds on your phone. I am still in the dark ages though and don’t have a smartphone 🙂

Good point on the screen cover. We are now looking at smartphones, and this is one of our big concerns. The screen is right there for everything to hit and touch….easily scratched and dirtied.
