Disclosure: I received a copy of this book for review. Opinions shared are mine.
I just love devotionals that relate to actual life. Revived & Renovated gives a fresh look at the relationship between faith and home….quite literally, as in an actual house. There are some great pro tips about home renovation — such as lighting options and peel-and-stick wallpaper — that DIY readers will love. These ideas and topics are connected to God’s healing and revival.
However, I found the format of the book to be somewhat confusing to follow. The information is presented almost like a chain of text messages between the two authors. The back-and-forth conversation was unnecessary. I would have enjoyed it more in paragraph form.
Additionally, I wondered why there weren’t photos for reference. This was the perfect backdrop for some pretty pics of home decor. I am not a great decorator, but I love a good Before-and-After. I felt its absence in this book.
