These days, I crave a massage. The tension in my shoulders just doesn’t get tamed on its own. Getting a massage can be a pricey adventure, though. Here are some ways I have saved money on a massage.
Look for new-customer deals
If you watch for specials around town, you just might find discounted offers for new customers. For example, the masseuse at my chiropractor’s office did a first-time massage for 50% off! You may be able to find something similar at a salon near you. Some packages may include a bonus service such as a pedicure or mud mask. Don’t be afraid to ask about these deals!
Try Groupon
To save yourself the hassle of finding your own deal, check out massage specials on Groupon. Several of the 60-minute massage deals in my area run as low as $32. You can also get cashback through Rakuten!
DIY Your Massage
Purchase a heated massage pillow to keep at home for the in-between-massage times when you need a little TLC. I noticed that my tension headaches were greatly reduced when I used my Shiatsu massager on my shoulders. This one also comes with a car card which I plan to take advantage of! It would be much more tolerable to wait in the car at a band practice if I could enjoy a back massage in the meantime.
Great tips. Sometimes a massage will relieve the stress and make a bad day ok, so these tips are super helpful
I’ve always thought of giving one as a gift to my husband for X-Mas!! I also like to look on Groupon for local deals!!
Such wonderful tips! I have never had a massage and would love to get one soon!
