I’ve been reading a lot of Halloween-worthy books this month, and it was time for something lighthearted. The Switch by Beth O’Leary was more of a treat than a trick! This book was out of my comfort zone a bit, since I don’t usually read romance novels. It was cute, funny, and had a special charm.
There are two main characters in the book — a grandmother Eileen and her granddaughter Leena. The two ladies decide they need a drastic change in their lives, so they make the spontaneous decision to swap lives for a couple of months! My grandmother is a spunky lady, and I could totally imagine her doing something like that (although maybe not quite as wild as Eileen did.)
The audiobook was fun to listen to. There were two narrators, and they did a great job of bringing the story to life. I much preferred Eileen’s story. Her wisdom and calm nature gave the story balance. Leena’s career-driven mindset didn’t quite jive with her immature behavior. She got on my nerves quite a bit.

This looks like a book I would enjoy reading!
