With so many remakes and spin offs on TV today, you can’t help but reminisce about the good ole days. My son loves Fuller House, and has developed quite a background for all things 80s. He even knew who NKOTB was because of one of the episodes!
Let’s travel even further back in our Time Machine to the Brady Bunch. Full of great stories and era-worthy references, The Way We All Became The Brady Bunch by Kimberly Potts is sure to garner a smile from any 70’s or 80’s baby. This wholesome show tackled lots of tough family issues including sibling rivalry, blended families, and growing up. Everyone had a crush on one of the Brady kids, and I wanted Alice to live with us.
The chapters blend behind-the-scenes info with on-screen moments in a seamless stream. It’s fun to learn more about the actors who portrayed these favorite characters. Readers find out how casting was decided, even down to what hair color Carol would have! It’s a bit like reading a transcript of Behind the Music, Brady Bunch style.
How much do you know about the Brady Bunch? Take the quiz! I scored a 5/10, but fully admit to guessing on most of the questions.

I laughed with them, I cried with them, I watched them after the daily half hour of Warner Brothers cartoons.
My sister used to watch reruns when we were kids.
It has been so long since I watched their series, I had forgotten a lot.
Ahhh! I love The Brady Bunch so much! It was one of the few shows on tv that had relatable characters when I was growing up. I discovered it on Hulu recently and have been binge watching it all over again. This book sounds like one I would really enjoy. 🙂
This Brady Bunch themed book sounds interesting and unique.
I love the Brady Bunch. I watched them, my daughter watched them and now my grandchildren watch them and hopefully my great grandchildren will watch them too.
I remember wanting to be a sister in that family so bad! I always loved their clothes!

I think this show was an important one. Sure, we think it’s kind of corny now but it was really a trailblazing show during its time because it embraced in a positive light that even though families are broken sometimes that they can be mended for the better.

Having watched this as a kid, it will be fun to read the details on the show
I use to watch this show all the time!
we watched them a lot too
The first episode I ever saw of The Brady Bunch when I was a kid was the one where they think Jan is allergic to Mike. Concidentally, years later that was the first episode my daughter ever saw too.
I can remember watching The Brady Bunch with my grandmother! I never really connected with the 70s but enjoy watching them from time to time!
