Oh, blessed summer! I love the long days, beautiful sunshine, and sitting in a camping chair with a good book. Here are some of the titles waiting for me this June. Do you have any of these on your shelf?
Look for those reviews coming up! I love chatting with my friends about the good reads they’re enjoying. We loan each other books and text each other about new ones all the time. If you don’t have in-real-life friends who enjoy reading the same way you do, join a group in Goodreads or swap on Paperbackswap!
Here are some sneaky ways I find extra reading time:
Order groceries online – I order groceries from our local store and just pull up to the entrance; they load the bags right into my car. I save money this way, too, since I can see my total as I “shop.” If you don’t have this in your area, even something like HelloFresh can save you time since you can skip the prep steps!
Click-n-Curl – this curler set saves me a couple of steps while styling my hair. Love it and use it daily. Check out my review.
Audiobooks – Many of my best buds prefer listening to audiobooks since it’s easier to multi-task that way. If you want to give it a try, take advantage of this free Audible trial which gives you 2 free books! I listen to audiobooks in the car, but you can also listen while exercising, folding laundry, and cooking meals.
One lucky reader will win a $10 Amazon e-gift card. The giveaway is open to INT readers ages 18+. Void where prohibited by law. Good luck!
I always set aside some time to care for myself, like eat, and rest. So naturally squeezing a little reading time here and there.
My tip is to always have a book in your car and purse so that if you are waiting for an appointment or traveling, you can read.
listen to audio books
I always have a book within reach so when I have a bit of time I can read.
Keep a book by your bed
I always take my book that I am reading with me ( I have an extra bag for my book), so if I get delayed or stalled in what I am doing I can read a few chapters.
Well, I only help buy all the books for 2 sisters and 2 of my daughters and they read every available moment they get time to. My daughters get a book and won’t put it down most of the time until it is finished. So, they read when they know they have the next day off from doing anything.
I have a difficult time following certain authors train of thought, and that’s the reason I dont read more often. I read tons of words on the internet, type tons of words, but when it’s time for me to make a commitment to read a story, that’s when I have a difficult time. I guess for me it’s just about reading the first chapter and seeing how far I can get before I get bored or frustrated. Dont get me wrong, I love to read, it’s just certain authors.
Read before going to sleep.
Always carry a book with you.
It’s hard! I usually read when the kids are in school!
Audiobooks are the best way to find extra time to read. I also take a book everywhere and even read while waiting in queues![My Profile](https://www.savingsinseconds.com/wp-content/plugins/commentluv/images/littleheartplus.png)
