Bowling fun for the whole family!
A few weeks ago, I snagged a great Groupon deal on a family bowling package. We got an hour of bowling, shoe rentals for the whole family, plus 2 pitchers of our beverage choice — all for $32. Plus, I got cashback through Ebates which made it even MORE of a deal!
This bowling alley is located at the Pinnacle shopping center in Bristol, TN. It’s located inside the Bass Pro Shop. The bowling alley adjoins a restaurant that serves seafood and other entrees. We didn’t get to try the restaurant on this trip.
The decor inside Uncle Buck’s is full of personality. The restaurant is dimly lit, creating the feeling that you’re underwater.
Look all around the room! There’s so much to see.
Though there wasn’t much staff on hand, we were attended in just a few moments. We were asked to write down each player’s name and shoe size. While we got settled in our lane, someone delivered our shoe rentals AND entered our names on the player screen!
I just had to decide which bowling ball to use.
Another thing I loved? I had the option to discreetly request bumper rails for my son. The gutter guards automatically raised and lowered when it was his turn to bowl! As you can see, the watery effect even translates over to the bowling lane.
Our drinks arrived about 10 minutes after we started bowling. We had several non-alcoholic beverage choices. We settled on Coke and lemonade. The two pitchers (included in the package) were more than enough for our family of 4. I felt guilty wasting it!
One hour of bowling was the perfect amount of time for our family. We had enough to play one full game and part of another. By the time the hour was up, we were all played out. In case you’re wondering, my husband won!
At least I can count this as some exercise, right?
We were so accustomed to the dim lighting inside the bowling alley that the sunshine outside surprised us!
If you’re in the Tricities area, I hope you’ll take the opportunity to check out Uncle Buck’s Bowl and Grill. It’s fun, affordable, and family-friendly. Be sure to check Groupon for a good deal before you go. Consider this for your next birthday party or Girl’s Night Out!
I would love to get the One-Year Sam’s Club Membership with a $10 eGift Card and Instant Savings deal because I have been wanting a membership for a long time but could never justify the membership fee.
