What’s your go-to tool for opening packages at your house? I’ve used everything from keys to scissor blades with various levels of success. By far the sharpest, most effective item I’ve used is this utility knife from UtechSmart!
Called the “Super Cutter,” this heavy duty box cutter takes just seconds to take care of the job! Its heavier and sturdier than other box cutters I’ve owned, and I really like that there’s a locking feature. Since the carbon steel blade is so strong, it’s easy to see that it can be used for cutting lots of different materials. I anticipate using this for crafts and outdoor tasks as well as for breaking down boxes. It will be very useful to keep in the RV for camping days!
I like that the blade is only exposed at the tip so that my hand was protected. It also didn’t cut too deep, meaning that the package contents were safe from the blade. Since the handle is fairly heavy and comfortable to hold, it didn’t require a lot of strength to press down on the tape. I used only a little bit of pressure and it sliced right through the tape on this box. In fact, the cut was so clean that I wasn’t sure it had even gone through the tape!

I’d like to keep a blade like this handy because sooner or later something needs cutting. I like that the design protects both you and what’s in your packages.

This looks like such a great tool for opening packages. They use so much tape on them…LOL
That locking feature is a good idea.
